What is the youngest student you teach?

We have children as young as 4 years old start in our karate class.  We have age specific classes for 4 and 5 year olds, 6 to 12 years old, and teen and adult classes.

What style do you teach?
A.
Our style is a blend of several martial arts.  We teach a system of practical self-defense that uses elements of karate, tae kwon do, juijitsu, and kickboxing.

Can anyone learn karate and kickboxing?
A.
Classes are taught in such a way so that everyone can learn and advance no matter level.  Our students understand that they do not need to compare themselves to one another just work on becoming proficient.

What do the belt colors mean?
A.
The use of belts in the martial arts signifies the level or grade that a student has achieved.
Q?
Do I have to compete to be in karate?
A.
No.  We do train students for competition but it is not a requirement for advancement.

Will my child learn how to protect themselves against bullies?
A.
Yes!  Dealing with bullies has become an important concern for kids and parents.  Students are not only taught how to deal with a confrontation to avoid a confrontation but  how to deal with a physical situation without having to resort to punching or kicking.
